TEEN AUDITION INTENSIVE CLASS with ALICIA FUSTING

We will audition one on one with feedback and adjustments. Actors will then be paired up with a scene partner and put it on it’s feet with direction. This class will focus on Specificity, Script Analysis, Backstory, Making Strong Choices with the given material & Including a Moment before and After.

Actors will also learn how to self tape properly; this is the new normal. (You can then show your parents how to do it) hehehe....

DATE: MAY 4th, 2024

TIME : 10:00AM - 1:00 PM 9-14 year olds; 2:00pm - 5:00pm 14+ year olds

INSTRUCTOR: Alicia Fusting

About the Instructor: Alicia Fusting is now in Charlotte after 18 years in Los Angeles. In LA, she was Acting, Head of Admissions @ the The Aquila Morong Acting Studio, and Associate Producing films with Top Producer/ Director/Writer John Putch. She spent 4 years Assisting the prestigious Casting Director Deb Aquila at Cal Institute of the Arts, an MFA Program and 8 Years Teaching as the Head of the Hollywood High Drama Volunteer Program. Currently Alicia is Acting, Producing, Casting, Coaching, and the Head Of Admissions and Teaching at The Donna Morong Acting Studio in Hollywood. Notable credits include: When We Last Spoke, An Angelic Christmas, Break The Cycle, CSI, Castle, Scrubs, & many more.

COMMERCIAL WORKSHOP INTENSIVE FOR ADULTS WITH TONYA BLUDSWORTH

This in person interactive workshop will primarily focus on honing your audition skills. We will work on 3 different types of commercial auditions PLUS a cold read if a time allows.

Actors will receive the following types of auditions in advance of the class:

**Improv auditions w/ no scripted dialogue

**Scene style auditions w/ scripted dialogue and multiple actors in the scene

**Spokesperson auditions

 After each round of auditions, actors will receive direct feedback from the CD who will provide a critique and suggestions on how the audition could be improved. If time allows, students will be able to audition the piece a 2nd time so they can try to implement that feedback into their next take.

INSTRUCTOR: Tonya Bludsworth

About the Casting Director: Tonya Bludsworth has worked in a variety of roles in the Entertainment Industry over the past 20 years. For over 17 of those years, she has been a Casting Director at C&J Casting working on numerous commercial, film and industrial projects. Beyond casting, Tonya has produced and directed numerous theatrical projects. Her directing credits include: Bad Jews at Actor's Theatre; The Importance of Being Earnest, Philadelphia Story and Miss Firecracker Contest at Theatre Charlotte and Eat The Runt, The Taming and Shiloh Rules with donna scott productions. She is also a playwright who has had two of her original plays (Carrie Ann's Kiss and Least Likely Friends) produced locally.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellation 48 hrs before the workshop date - full refund, less than 48 hrs before the workshop date - 50% refund.
